Making pretzels in Lent is a family tradition over here. Our older three daughters took it over, one handing the how-to down to the next when they were older and on their way out the door and up to the altar. Now our 16yo is completely in charge and won't let me in my own kitchen this year! I have the recipe we use and a few photos on my blog here, very easy I promise you....smile.
http://goeasttheysaid.blogspot.com/2007/04/pretzels-in-lent.html

Happy pretzel making and, oh, the worst part - they are all gobbled up on the spot!!! Don't expect any leftovers...not ever! :-) God BlessReneehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10867620831460832495noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6268877237940592285.post-57627793047308186732009-02-28T15:41:00.000-06:002009-02-28T15:41:00.000-06:00I was planning on trying a different pretzel recip...I was planning on trying a different pretzel recipe each week with my daughter during Lent...I'll let you know the results!Michellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17893829005402169615noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6268877237940592285.post-49356404938417564802009-02-27T15:16:00.000-06:002009-02-27T15:16:00.000-06:00I haven't made this recipe yet, but I've made lots...I haven't made this recipe yet, but I've made lots of other stuff from her site with good results.
http://smittenkitchen.com/2009/02/soft-pretzels-refreshed/Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6268877237940592285.post-87101742163623230052009-02-27T14:15:00.000-06:002009-02-27T14:15:00.000-06:00We made these last year. The only time I use it is with my bread machine. Danielle Bean has a pretzel recipe on her blog that her family makes every year. She doesn't do a water bath or even wait for them to rise. I don't know how to do hyperlinks, so here is the regular link:

http://daniellebean.com/recipes/breads-and-rolls/lenten-pretzels/Hélènehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05360313369946053170noreply@blogger.com
