Cold Day in July

You Are a Plain Ole Cup of Joe

But don't think plain - instead think, uncomplicated
You're a low maintenance kind of girl... who can hang with the guys
Down to earth, easy going, and fun! Yup, that's you: the friend everyone invites.
And your dependable too. Both for a laugh and a sympathetic ear.

This vision will pass before my eyes many times today I fear. Although, when you can't have caffeine, it really is just a mind game you're playing with yourself. Leave me to my delusions, please!

BigBoy was up until the wee hours of the morning with a nose that wouldn't work the way God intended it no matter how many times he rubbed, sneezed or sniffled. Yesterday, The Professor had a fever and threatened to blow the traitor in the middle of his face to smithereens, but thankfully hasn't broken out in hives as he usually does when he gets a virus. Looks like it wasn't just allergies!

The button that decided to play a game of digestive hide and seek with one of my children was found only 24 hours after the game began. I'll spare you the details...let's just say that we are all relieved that the only "belly buttons" around here are the ones the Good Lord gave us.

So, here we are, sniffling, coughing, sipping and blowing, waiting for things to get back to "normal". . . which right now seems like nothing more than a setting on my dryer.

  1. Oh Matilda... that's positively sniffly! I hope you all start feeling better soon.

  2. Prayers for all of you, dear Matilida!

Thank you for sharing your thoughts and yourself!
