Happy St. Nicholas's Day!

Gold coins in the slippers, St. Nick's for the boys, Bl. Kateri and St. Lucy (not pictured) for the girls, Candy Cane Cocoa and Mint Chocolate Chip Muffins... and then I discover that BigBoy doesn't like mint. (Not even mixed with chocolate.) If he wasn't the spitting image of his Daddy, I'd check the hospital records for a baby swap. Bishop hat cookies, reading favorite books and crafts planned for later today after Math and Grammar (crack!) and then a final collapse in bed if the sugar buzz crashes like I expect it to. I'd love to hear what you have planned if you can spare a minute. Hope you all have a wonderful day!

  1. The kids got candy canes instead of gold coins. I didn't have it together to find coins in time. But I figure the cane looks like a shepherd's staff.

Today we'll be reading St. Nicholas books, baking St. Nicholas cookies with our new cookie stamp which I DID manage to order at the beginning of the school year, watching the CCC video, and heading out to our homeschool St. Nicholas party.

  2. I have left gold coins in my childrens slippers, also. To celebrate St Nicholas day. They haven't found them yet. Blessings, Rose

  3. I LOVE those little Saint dolls! They are so darling!

Our day will be spent in much of the same way, reading books and doing crafts after our schoolwork. The kids woke up to new slippers, gold coins, a Catholic Mosaic book, and breakfast of Candy Cane Coffee Cake with hot cocoa (I posted a few pics on my blog.) I'll also pull out our CCC St. Nicholas video tonight.

Happy Feast Day to you and your family! God Bless!
