These are to celebrate the Solemnity of the Birth of St. John the Baptist tomorrow. St. John is known for his hearty diet of locusts and honey (hence the grasshopper reference).
They were super easy to make!
I posted the instructions over at Catholic Cuisine.
(We will be enjoying our parfaits this evening on the vigil since we plan to be out tomorrow.)
Oh, my mouth is watering. We didn't have plans for this feast day and I am working tomorrow, but I may have to do this on Friday. It looks so good.ReplyDelete
These look super yummy. I'll take these grasshoppers over those that St. John ate any day ;)ReplyDelete
Ooh, Aah, my hubby's b-day is on the feast of St. John the Baptist- I think this is the perfect dessert for the day.ReplyDelete
These parfaits look so yummy. I made a grasshopper pie to serve tonight. I will have to keep the parfaits in mind for next year!ReplyDelete
