Sandwich Art

My oldest son, known as The Professor around my blog, participated in a cooking class offered at one of the fancier grocery stores in town. They offer a "Summer Camp" of kid classes every year and I let the children choose one class that sounds interesting to them. Last year it was Cooking Science for my bookish boy... fun with homemade mozzarella cheese and non-Newtonian substances! This year, nothing really struck his fancy so I talked him into the Sandwich Art class. He had fun, but it really wasn't what he expected and I think next year, he might opt to pass on the classes altogether... unless they can arrange to have Alton Brown as a guest chef. We can dream can't we?

(Clockwise starting with the one with the cute tomato nose) A bunny rabbit, a 9 year old boy's version of a painted flower, a panda and a fish with a long flowing tail.

  1. I love it! It reminds me of a few books my kids enjoyed as toddlers, I think one was called "How are You Peeling?" which featured vegetables and fruits made to appear to have faces.
