Books for Christmas!!!

Melanie shared a video I hadn't seen yet about a little boy who received books for Christmas and was adorably irate over the issue. It's good to see that at the wise old age of four, his tune has changed!

Our house, I'm sure, is just like yours. Books are read and re-read voraciously around here. Books are treasures. Library books, used books, new books, it doesn't matter.

This is one of my favorite picture from Christmas morning. I assure you, there were unwrapped presents under the tree until well into the afternoon, not from volume, but from scenes like this:

This is my favorite series of pictures from the day. She still hadn't changed out of her Church clothes. Why?
Well... books and yarn, what more does a girl need?

Here are the lists of the books my children have been enjoying. Can you guess who's list is who's? :)

  1. Great book list! Some we have, some are on the wish list and some are new to me. My oldest boy (12 1/2 yrs old) can't wait for the newest Rangers Apprentice! He got book 9 for Christmas and has already finished it. He was happy to know he had only till April to wait. :)

  3. Charlotte, I swear I did a double take at first, thinking I'd forgotten whose blog I'd surfed to. That young man and young lady can't possibly be your children! They look so grown up!
