What's more exciting...

...than a bag of candy, the holy day off from school and leftover party desserts?

The latest John Flanagan story!
The Brotherband is here!
If you remember his Ranger's Apprentice birthday, you should know that he's still just as fascinated with these books as he was. That's how good they are.
I ordered this one back in July and he didn't know it was coming today.
I love surprising him with books!

It's so good even Cupcake is enjoying it!

  1. well, don't tell my Thomas (12). I forgot to pre-order and now I better get on the stick, eh?

  2. Oh, man! My oldest son was asking me about this new series just the other day. I really dropped the ball. He's going to be so excited that it's out!

  3. This is so exciting! Joe says read fast, Professor!

  4. Oh my goodness, can her smile to her big brother be any more adorable?? I can't get over it! Miss you!

  5. I'll be adding this to the Christmas shopping lists!

  6. Michelle, I meant to tell you that he got a big kick out of looking at your pictures yesterday!

  7. oooh! I don't think my oldest knows about this yet... and his birthday is in 2 weeks.
Thanks to you (and the Professor!)

    LOVE the baby photos..
    simply. adorable.

  8. Oh, my goodness!! That last photo is killer. What a beautiful smile she has!

  9. Just in case you didn't know, this book is not in the Ranger's series. It's a spin-off series that Mr. Flanagan is writing based in Skandia. Some of the Skandian characters from Ranger's Apprentice show up in the book but for the most part, it's about new characters and new adventures. The Professor has read it now a couple of times and loves it (except for the cliffhanger ending).

  10. Hi Charlotte,

John Flanagan is coming to a public library within 30 minutes of where I live next week and we've registered to meet him... he'll be signing his new books too! My son is thrilled to meet him!!

  11. Charlotte
