Remembering Bryce

Will you take a moment to honor the memory of this precious child and pray for the family who misses his presence?

You can listen to Colleen's own words about dealing with grief and loss. She is an incredibly resolute woman of faith who has walked this Via Crucis with strength and grace (even if she didn't feel that strong or graceful at times). It was a privilege to have been there to capture some of those precious moments on film. It was an honor to share those heart-rending days with her and her family.

All our love and prayers are with you, sweet friends!

  2. Thank you for this reminder. It is so important to lift them in prayer, especially on these painful anniversaries.

  3. Thanks for posting this. This time of year is so full of thoughts of school and what WE are all doing ourselves, it's good to be reminded of the fact that not all are happy and excited, it can be a hard time for some.

With tears in my eyes, I'm praying for them.

  4. Praying. Oh I remember how my heart tore when I first heard of Colleen's loss.

  5. I don't know Colleen, but I sobbed as I watched the video you put together.

My older sister died of SIDS at one month, and my younger sister died as a stillborn at 5.5 months. Now that I'm a mother of one, I am just beginning to understand what my mom has gone through.

I'll pray for this family. Thanks for keeping such a thoughtful blog. We are just starting out as parents, and look forward to homeschooling and building a strong family culture. I find your blog really inspiring, since you celebrate so many of the smaller Catholic holidays, and really ritualize a lot of the things your family does. It's a nice alternative all of the "bad mommy" blogs out there.

  6. I don't know Colleen's story but I thank you for sharing their witness to the world. It's so important to help us all embrace the inevitable sufferings that will certainly come. Though they are unfathomable at times, we are encouraged by our faithful brothers and sisters who shine as God's instruments and beacons of His grace and love. Thank you, again. Their missionary work is incredibly inspiring to me so I will be popping over to follow. God Bless!
