St. Blaise's Feast Day

It looks like I'm battling mastitis right now so the girls made these cookies for their brothers today to celebrate St. Blaise's Day.

 They have taken over the baby, the kitchen, the laundry, everything to let me rest. Oh how I love these big girls of mine.

Pirouette cookies tied together with a Twizzler strand and topped with a diagonally cut marshmallow with the cut side dipped in orange colored sugar and stuck on with melted white chocolate. These took me 5 minutes to put together and the kids love them.

Cheese sticks, bread sticks and pineapple for lunch. Why pineapple? Just because.

 

St. Blaise Candle Cookies for dessert!

These cookies do not look like the candles Father used to bless our throats this morning. Father's were intertwined at the bottom and looked kind of like this.  He first saw them in Poland and had been hunting for some ever since. I can't tell you how tickled he was to have finally found some! : )
