Nature Pics

This lovely gardenia came to say "Happy Birthday" to Husband which was very nice since this is his most favorite part of our garden.
The snails are not.
At the park...
I am not sure what kind of plant this is, but I love the long feathery blooms. Can any of you gardening gurus tell me what it is?

The Professor actually identified this one from the Hibiscus pictures his sisters colored for our Coffee, Tea and Thee celebrating St. Josephine Bahkita's feast day.

  1. Looks like a Purple Fountain Grass -- definitely an ornamental grass of some sort. Very pretty. Wish we could grow Gardenias in OH!

  3. Lovely photos.

We had potted hibiscus flowers in our front yard the year we (unsuccessfully) tried to sell our house. I've been wanting to get more ever since--beautiful, and they do well even if (like me) you are the neglectful sort of gardener.
